Product Features
Recycling: The product has been used before and therefore typically has signs of wear. In some cases, the product may have been repaired. This feature can, for example, be found on a ‘One of a Kind’ display cabinet, old clay pots, benches, etc.
Repurposed: This feature also appears on products that are made through the recycling of resources. For instance, glass vases made from recycled glass - old glass that has been remelted, saving significant amounts of CO2*.
Upcycling: We use the upcycling principle to give discarded items a new life. The original item has been reimagined and reworked into a new and unique product.
Patinated: The product shows signs of natural aging, often combined with clear signs of use.
Only for deco: The product is decorative and is not intended for practical use. For example, a set of leather boxing gloves.
Deco wheels: Indicates that the wheels on the product are primarily decorative and therefore might not always roll smoothly.
Powder-coated: The product has been powder-coated, providing an extra durable surface.
Uneven surface: The product's surface is not even. This typically refers to the surface of tables made of recycled wood. The wood's natural characteristics have been intentionally retained to preserve a rustic or authentic appearance. The irregularities can add to the product's aesthetics and charm but might also mean that the product requires special care during cleaning.
Materials
Recycled glass: Glass waste that has been remelted and moulded. The process requires both less energy and water than producing new glass.
Papier-mâché: Our papier-mâché products are made from old paper e.g., from newspapers and magazines. The paper is torn into pieces and mixed with glue, after which the wet mass is formed into different shapes or over a mould and then dried.
Recycled wood: Recycled wood refers to wood that has previously been used in buildings, for furniture, or other purposes. The wood has been recycled to make new products. This can give the wood a unique patina and character.
Colours
The colour feature that appears on the item description is determined by the dominant color of the product.
Iron: Appears on iron products that have not been painted. The product will typically have had a transparent lacquer treatment, so the raw appearance of the iron is clearly visible.
Natural: This colour feature indicates that the product has received minimal or no surface treatment, so the product appears natural. This feature typically appears on products made of wood or stone.
Multi: This term refers to products that combine multiple colours, patterns, or materials. A multi-product can be vibrant and colourful and can serve as an eyecatcher in a room. These products can bring dynamics and contrast, especially in more minimalistic settings, and are ideal for those who want to add a unique and personal touch to their home decor.
Variable: The colour may vary from product to product. Each individual product may have its own unique hue or colour combination.
