Nordic simplicity meets French charm

»An awesome industrial style
at a price everyone can afford«.

The restaurateurs Maiken and Christophe Daura were looking for a mix of cozy and raw inventory for their second French café “Café Noisette”, situated in Skanderborg. The couple had run a café and restaurant for 15 years in Horsens, so they knew what they wanted. Maiken and Christophe were therefore sure that they had found their right restaurant furniture supplier when they saw Trademark Living's selection at the FoodExpo fair in Herning. “The prices are great and everyone can afford it - and then it’s just an awesome industrial style that fits very well with our concept,” says Maiken Daura.

A few visits to the showroom
The car swung of the road a couple of times to visit the 500 m2 showroom in Skanderborg.  “It's been easy and good to drop by and see the showroom. We saw the entire assortment and were inspired. It means something to see the products in reality,”says Maiken Daura. “And Sandie Cully has given us a super personal service. Really. She has been a great help and understood our needs,” says Maiken happily.

Authentic French brasserie atmosphere
After a recent renovation of the premises, the doors have now been opened to “Café Noisette”, which exudes a charming blend of Danish coziness and an authentic French brasserie atmosphere.
The Nordic simple style meets French charm, and the quality-conscious décor is reflected in the menu, which features, among other things, French classics such as fish soup bouillabaisse and pancakes made from buckwheat flour. Of course accompanied by great French wines.
Everything on the menu is made from scratch using only good and natural ingredients. "It not enough that it looks good, it should taste good, too," says French chef Christophe.

DECORATION OF CAFÉ NOISETTE

Cool, comfy café chairs

"What counts for us is to make people feel comfortable," says Maiken. The chairs are therefore particularly important so that people can sit comfortably when enjoying their meal. Due to this, the couple has chosen bar stools and diner chairs that feature padded leather seat and back for extra comfort.
The shape of the diner chairs and the simple light brass frame also help create a cool vintage look that matches the "Skanderborg meets Paris feeling" that they want to create.

Industrial style lighting
The customers think the café has a welcoming ambience. This is partly due to the fact that lamps have played an important role in the interior design of “Café Noisette”, as lighting creates coziness and atmosphere. Therefore, the choice has also fallen on some industrial ceiling lamps and wall lamps with a raw factory look that go well with the exposed brick walls.
To soften up and bring warmth to the industrial style, Maiken and Christophe have chosen some unique and decorative wooden pendants with decorative filament bulbs, that match the style and décor of the cafe.

Charming contrast in the interior decor
Contrast is the secret ingredient in the interior design of “Café Noisette” and the owners have paid attention to every detail.
The exposed brick walls are elegantly paired with beautiful wallpaper with French lilies.
Old antique kitchenware items from Christophe's grandmother adorn the walls as well. This contributes to a mix of old and new.
Furniture of different heights, like low café tables and bar-height tables, are mixed to create variety and balance into the café decor.
The rustic café tables with wooden tabletops are paired with simple metal café chairs.
All these contrasts make a perfect match and create a personal and successful decor of “Café Noisette”.
